The Institute is conveniently located near subways, buses and other mass transportation. It is within walking distance to Penn Station on West 34th Street, and Port Authority Bus Terminal  on West 42nd Street.  Students can shop at major department stores in the neighborhood, such as Macy’s, H&M, J.C Penney, and many other stores in the garment district that offer goods at affordable prices. Borders (for books) and Staples (for school and office supplies) are also in the neighborhood.
